Great honour: Daniela Ryf is Swiss Sportswoman of the Year 2018
After an outstanding season, Daniela Ryf was crowned Swiss Sportswoman of the Year 2018. On Sunday evening, the popular sports awards were broadcast live across Switzerland.
Daniela was awarded the title after being voted favourite by Swiss sports journalists, media and the public. The 31-year-old from Solothurn was humbled to receive the honour: "It is an incredible feeling to receive this award again. To win as a triathlete against such amazing female athletes from a number of different sports almost leaves me speechless." Ryf, who won the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii for the fourth time in October and set a course record, received the prestigious Sports Award for the first time in 2015. This is the second time she has been honoured.

Daniela Ryf remains invincible at the Ironman 70.3 in Rapperswil-Jona. Daniela triumphed at the upper Lake Zurich over the 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike and 21.1 km run for the eighth time since 2014.
