Daniela Ryf goes back to University
Triathlete Daniela Ryf resumed her Food Science & Management studies at the HAFL in Zolikofen, Switzerland, on Monday.
The quadruple Ironman World Championship winner will attend the last two modules of her course, which continue until February 2021. At the same time she will finish her Bachelor's thesis which was started previously.
"Now is the ideal time to complete the Bachelor's degree during the off season in autumn and winter," says Ryf, who will continue to keep up her training schedule. "I will now live, study and of course train on alternative weeks in Solothurn and St Moritz. The module on the impact of Covid-19 will be taught online so this enables me to be back in St. Moritz regularly. I'm looking forward to focusing on other topics again and to being challenged in other ways. Learning is very good for the mind," says the 2018 Sportswoman of the Year.
Ryf has reduced her training schedule slightly in the past two weeks and will start planning the 2021 season at a later date.
