Daniela Ryf and Team Europe win Collins Cup

Mission completed: Team Europe and Daniela successfully defended their Collins Cup title from last year, winning the 2^nd edition of the newly formed competition format in convincing fashion. The event, which is structured much like golf’s Ryder Cup, took place in Samorin (Slovakia) on Saturday and saw Team Europe win in convincing fashion, collecting 53 total points ahead of «Team International» with 38 points and «Team USA» with 22.5 points.

Daniela dominated the women’s field, winning her heat vs. the duo of Olympic champion Flora Duffy (Bermuda) and Sara True (USA) in the day’s best time of 3:28:50. At the Collins Cup, the athletes compete over a course of 2 kilometers in the water, 80 kilometers on the bike and a final run of 18 kilometers.
