08:08:21 hours world record over the Ironman distance

08:08:21 hours, no woman has ever completed a long-distance triathlon faster. Daniela set this historic record at Challenge Roth on June 25, 2023.

«I am incredibly happy and also a bit surprised. It was an absolutely perfect day. I knew it was going to be tough. But that everything worked out so perfectly makes me extremely happy.»

Daniela delivered a special class performance despite temperatures around 30 degrees. She got out of the water together with the leading Brit Fenella Langridge and shortly after took the lead on the bike course, which she not only continuously extended but also maintained on the run course. With the personal fastest run time of 2:51:55 hours, the five-time Hawaii winner made her victory perfect and pulverized the world best time of Great Britain's Chrissie Wellington from 2011 by almost ten minutes in a sensational 8:08:21 hours.

Her own best time from 2016 was 8 hours 22 minutes and 4 seconds. Second-placed local hero Anne Haug lost almost 13 minutes to Ryf.
